With the inauguration of Opera Music Theater International there is at last a major cultural organization dedicated to the international showcasing of opera and music theater through major performances, conferences, competitions and training programs for artists, managers and cultural officials in a non partisan effort to encourage renewed interest in cultural exchanges and cultural diplomacy.

The Washington Savoyards, Ltd., is an opera company which focuses entirely on the operas of Gilbert & Sullivan. It is our custom to do two fullproductions a year, one in the spring and one in the fall, plus an annual gala and some smaller performances here and there to spread the word about howenjoyable this sort of tomfoolery can be.
