Alay'nya Studio offers beginners and intermediate classes in "esoteric belly dance," blending ancient energy-building methods with classical belly dance and modern dance interpretative dance. Alay'nya and the Troupe Seraband perform frequently in the Metro DC region.

Since 1980 D.C.Wheel Productions, Inc. has grown its facility, Dance Place, as one of the nation’s premiere community arts centers. Viewed as three components - theater, school and community resource, and fueled by a passion and expertise in dance, the organization is recognized for its leadership role and model programs in the national and local arenas. These programs developed over the past twenty years aim to expand the field of dance, nurture leadership for the future and strengthen community partnerships. With ownership of our building, development of a broad reach of artistic and educational programs, leadership for community revitalization and youth in particular, Dance Place has enhanced the reach of our national presence and strengthened our connections to D.C. and our immediate neighborhood.

Marta is a dynamic and engaging belly dance artist and sought-after instructor. Recognized for her unique style and technique, she focuses in oriental/Egyptian, tribal and fusion belly dance.

Marta is currently a faculty member at three award-winning institutions, Joy of Motion Dance Center, the Dance Institute of Washington, and the Sitar Center for the Arts. She has also taught at Sahara Dance, DCJCC, and at the MamaSita Cultural Center, home of the Belly Dancers of Color Association (BOCA).

Dhoonya Dance serves as a center for those interested in learning or sharing the richness and vibrance Indian culture through dance: Bollywood and Bhangra. We perform in the community for various functions and charitable events.

Jane Franklin Dance is a delicious blend of dance, theater and humor. The universal language of movement is explored through performances, educational presentations, community-based projects and collaborations.

Mosaique provides multicultural enrichment programs for children and adults to enhance and advance our daily lives. Katayoun, Mosaïque's founder, is a master instructor and professional performer of authentic Egyptian belly dance and the Persian dances of her Iranian heritage. She is a teacher, mentor, choreographer, language and cultural enthusiast, and a mom. The founding of Mosaïque is the culmination of her professonal experiences and personal passions. In addition to offering dance and music programs, Katayoun's popular program "French Bilingual Story Time" is sponsored by local schools, libraries and private groups for children ages 4 to 7.

The Uzbek Dance and Culture Society preserves and promulgates traditional Central Asian dance, music, and culture. The Society sponsors an annual dance camp in addition to producing concerts and videos.
