Inaugural Cadillac Grand Prix of Washington D. C.

The Inaugural Cadillac Grand Prix of Washington D. C. proved to be quite successful for the promoters, fans and three of the four GM entries in the fifth round of the 2002 American Le Mans Series. Corvette continued its string of GTS class wins and the Cadillac LMP 02 achieved the best finish of the year to date.

Despite the excessive heat and humidity, a large crowd packed the grounds of RFK Stadium to see the inaugural event, the first motorsport event in the national's capital in more than 80 years.
