The Galas Theme: "We Have Come This Far By Faith." The event honors the history and accomplishments of African-Americans in the US. "Keeper of the Flame" awards will be given to individuals who have been a part of the advancement of African-Americans in the country.

This kid-friendly event is designed for children of any age. The day will include live music, educational exhibits, story time, a puppet stage, crafts, games, and more. The large time window just allows more people to participate. Kid-friendly food. Invitation requests are no longer being accepted, but in case space opens up, you can put your name on a waiting list.
