36th Annual Virginia Wine Festival 13264
Colder weather is ahead, which makes the Virginia Wine Festival the perfect opportunity to sample and stock up on those smoky, full-bodied red wines that seem to go so well with cable-knit sweaters and corduroy pants on cold winter nights. More than 50 Virginia wineries will be in attendance pouring samples -- and if white wines or roses are more your speed, you'll find plenty of those there, too, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

National Geographic All Roads Film Festival 13156
The All Roads Film Festival concludes with three special screenings. At noon, enjoy a FREE FAMILY PROGRAM for ages 5-13+, which includes such films as "Dragonflies without Borders," "A Navajo Sheepdog," and "Quite an Ugly Frog." The Maryland Festival of the Arts is September 17-18, 2011 in downtown Silver Spring, MD. Enjoy the opportunity to purchase original artwork by top national and international artisans. 5th Annual Lymphoma Research Ride 12842
Sunday, September 18th at the Barnesville School in Montgomery County, Maryland. Funds raised by participants will support LRF's mission, to eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by this disease.
The Lymphoma Research Ride is a non-competitive bike ride where participants can choose to ride either a 25 or 50 mile route. We encourage riders of all skill levels to participate. Children ages 10 and above are eligible to ride if accompanied by an adult rider.
