Handel’s immortal oratorio—arguably the most famous choral piece by any composer—has been a staple in this country at Christmastime but is, in essence, an Easter composition. The Consort closes its season with a rare opportunity to hear Handel’s beloved work at a time and with the forces for which it was originally envisioned.
