Kid's Adventure in Glass Fusing 20070
Explore the art of melting glass together. Each workshop offers
a different project. Experiment with inclusions between glass as
well as melting glass over forms. Students will be standing for
most of the class. Please wear closed-toe shoes. $20 supply
fee due at workshop. Project may be picked up the following
Saturday.

DC Duck Race 20033
Members of the community are able to sponsor rubber ducks that will participate in a race along a contained course along the Anacostia River, with funds supporting the Rotary Club and community organizations. In addition to prizes for the winning ducks, participants will enjoy music, entertainment, a Kids Zone, food, activities and more.

Train Day Celebration! 20040
On Train Day, come and experience the Railway Post Office by checking out the inside of the train car, learn how train conductors use whistle signals to communicate, and get to know some jargon used by Postal Clerks who worked on the Railway Post Offices. Enjoy a special Story Time and “meet” Owney the Dog, mascot of the Railway Post Office! We will also have model trains running through our Museum Atrium. All ages welcome.

PRS, Inc., a nonprofit helping those living with serious mental illness or facing life crises, is hosting its 22th annual Kentucky Derby tradition: Raising the Stakes for Hope & Recovery at Hidden Creek Country Club in Reston on May 6 from 5-8:30pm. Guests in their Derby attire will enjoy watching the 143rd Run for the Roses, eating hors d’ oeuvres, sipping mint juleps, and bidding on auction items.

Two roots duos share the stage for the Singer Songwriter Series season finale! The Young Novelists, Graydon James and Laura Spink, create music that is unique, reminiscent of the 60s with a fresh Indie sound.
