Heroes of Play 5k 20193
Challenge yourself to walk or run a 5K to benefit children experiencing homelessness. Event registration includes a T-shirt, and every penny raised will help fund programming – including field trips, healthy snacks and supplies – that directly benefits children and youth living in temporary housing.
The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, and we encourage both runners and walkers to come out in support of play.

The Wizard School Scavenger Hunt for Harry Potter Fans 20284
Young wizards will enjoy a trip to the National Gallery, in search of art that echoes characters and enchanted objects in the Harry Potter books. You'll track down serpents, Dumbledore look-alikes, and figures as scary as any Death Eater. This hunt references the books to provide a bridge to many wonderful works of art. Kids must be accompanied by an adult, but all-adult teams can compete separately. Advance purchase required.

Come in costume. Enjoy decorating your free pumpkin or ghost with supplies provided by the merchants at Savage Mill. Then stroll the Mill and collect free candy.

Then try our optional kid friendly Terrapin Explorer course for a special discounted price of $22.50/pp plus tax. Participants must be 5-11 and weigh a minimum of 35 lbs.
