Cady’s Alley will hold its second annual Oktoberfest festival to celebrate the 2018 fall season. The historic and charming Georgetown alley will be transformed into a traditional fall beer garden where guests can mingle and sip in a beautifully exposed brick setting while enjoying live music, libations and games.

Fight pain and help those who’ve fought for this country. The first annual “Bloch the Pain Event” with acclaimed Physical Therapist and Acupuncturist Andy Bloch takes place October 20. Bloch is the acclaimed creator of Reflexive Pattern Therapy™ (RPT) and Painless Dry Needling™. He will provide free treatment to everyone who visits the event, taking place in the mall concourse just outside of Nordstrom. “Bloch the Pain” is aimed at raising awareness of veteran charities.

Awash in music inspired by light and dark, Artistic Director Scott Tucker has created a program that evokes both the literal and mystical imagery attributed to these fundamental themes. Including R. Murray Schafer’s Epitaph for Moonlight, Jake Runestad’s Spirited Light, and Sarah Hopkins’ Past Life Melodies, this performance will feature the Choral Arts Chamber Singers conducted by Scott Tucker and the Choral Arts Youth Choir conducted by Brandon Straub.

Teams will analyze, visualize and communicate the impact of accessory dwelling units on for user groups in Montgomery County, Maryland: senior citizens, millennials, young families and individuals with disabilities. Participants are also tasked with using data to help Habitat for Humanity identify obstacles and opportunities for the proposed policy solutions.
