Get up close with about 200 animals and milk a cow, feed sheep & goats, take a wagon ride, watch pig races and a pumpkin is included with paid admissions in October. The Wizard School Scavenger Hunt for Harry Potter Fans 21113
Young wizards will enjoy a trip to the National Gallery, in search of art that echoes characters and enchanted objects in the Harry Potter books. You'll track down serpents, Dumbledore look-alikes, and figures as scary as any Death Eater. This hunt references the books to provide a bridge to many wonderful works of art. The American Heart Association invites you to participate in the Greater Washington Heart Walk here in our nation's capital. On November 3, 2018 over 12,000 residents from the Metropolitan Washington, DC area will come together on the National Mall to raise awareness and funds to help fight heart disease and stroke. ASO Presents: Mendelssohnâs Symphony No. 3 âScottishâ 21064
The Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director James Ross, celebrates the past and present of American music. In recognition of Leonard Bernstein's 100th birthday celebration, the orchestra will perform two pieces from his acclaimed musicals, including the Overture to West Side Story and “Three Dances Episodes” from On the Town. The concert also features the world premiere of Jessica Krash’s cello concerto with cellist Tanya Anisimova.
