Air Force One
In 1944 President Franklin D. Roosevelt called for the creation of the Presidential Pilot Office's to provide air transportation to the President and his staff. The current presidential fleet consists of two specifically-configured Boeing 747-200B series aircraft - tail numbers 28000 and 29000 - with Air Force designation VC-25A. When the President is aboard either craft, or any other Air Force aircraft, the radio call sign is "Air Force One."

National Economic Council

National Security Council
The National Security Act of July 26, 1947, created the National Security Council under the chairmanship of the President,with the Secretaries of State and Defense as its key members, to coordinate foreign policy and defense policy, and to reconcilediplomatic and military commitments and requirements. This major legislation also provided for a Secretary of Defense, aNational Military Establishment, Central Intelligence Agency, and National Security Resources Board. President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board
