Home : Best of DC Award Information

Every month our staff will review the top five sites within a specific category topic. The winners will be chosen as providing the best resources within their category. These Web Sites will help our web community understand what communication is possible beyond traditional boundaries. 

Web Sites will be judged by following criteria: 

    1. originates in Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia 
    2. interesting and resourceful to viewers 
    3. original content and graphics 
    4. Easy to use 
    5. no adult sites please 
If a website is eligible for placement in more than one category, DC Pages has discretion to enter the program in any single category where it is eligible. All entries must be submitted by the second Monday every month. 

Best of Washington DCMonthly Winners will receive: 

    1. Be showcased in the best of award feature page. 
    2. Front page placement within the related cateory. 
    3. A Best of DC recognition seal to display on their site. 
    4. Eligible for our grand prize. 

Thomas Jefferson Golden Eagle Award

Once a year a finalist Web Site from each main category will be In addition the following: 

    1. Honored with a plaque ceremony (time and location to be announced).
    2. One year top placement in the related category. 
    3. Be included in a press release of Washington DC's top Web Sites to all major wire services.
    4. One month FREE banner placement in the DC Pages main banner rotation.
