The Catoctin Inn
On a recent two day getaway, my fiancee and I decided to travel about ½ hour north of Washington, D.C. to Buckeystown, Md. We stayed at a circa 1780 manor house, The Catoctin Inn and Conference Center. Our stay at the inn was everything we would have expected. We chose the Bucky's Cottage, a self standing little cottage off the main house which included a loft with kingsize bed, private bath with jaccuzi, fireplace, and complete kitchen. A constant reminder that we were staying in a place centuries old was the low entryways into the different rooms. Anyone over 6' tall remember to duck. The staff was very helpful with places of interest to visit. Nestled just minutes from Historic Frederick, Harpers Ferry, Sugarloaf Mountain, or Cunningham Falls left us with an array of choices. Plan your next getaway or have your next catered event at The Catoctin Inn and Conference center.
