dc motors, a Washington, DC, USA-based band may be the longest continuously playing full-time rock band in theWashington area. Now in their 20th year, playing an average of 225-300 gigs each year since 1979. The band's cover material emphasises 'get up and dance.' They have a rapid-fire style, with very little time betweensongs, except for injecting humor and audience interaction. They have excellent 3-part harmony and three strong leadvoices. The emphasis is on fun and p r o j e c t i n g l o v e. The cover material includes over 450 songs ranging fromBeatles, Jimmy Buffett, Greatful Dead, Stones, Motown, alternative and great classic rock from the 60s, 70s, 80s aswell as alternative sounds from the 90s and modern and classic country. This broad range in also reflected in theiroriginal songs, both in recorded and as yet non-recorded material. They are adept at 'reading' the audience, and leaningin their direction.

Marshall Artz is an acoustic guitar duo from the Washington, D.C. area. They have won several songwriting awards from the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest in Folk, Instrumental, and Adult Contemporary categories. The twenty original songs on this recording represent the variety of styles that have attached themselves to our collective psyche. Brad's background in rock and blues met with Kevin's background in folk, folk-rock, and bluegrass resulting in what you hear on this CD.
