The Japanese Queen Mio Kawabata, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Association Queen, is a student
at Keiogijuku University in Tokyo majoring in law and politics. Ms. Kawabata was very pleased to take part in the Festival. This was her first trip to the United States, and she fell in love with Washington; especially enjoying the Washington Monument. While in Japan she likes to go to Tokyo Disney Land and visit her favorite character, Donald Duck.
