The National Mall is located between Constitution and Independence avenues. Constitution avenue is a famous parade route for the National Cherry Blossom Parade, Independence Day Parade, Washington D.C. Saint Patrick's Day Parade. Independence Avenue is used for the National Memorial Day Parade. The Rolling Thunder Parade of motorcycles loops around Starts on Constitution near West Potomac Park and loops South on 3rd Street NW and turns East on Independence Avenue SW and heads around the Lincoln Memorial and circles back to Constitution.
The Smithsonian Folklife festival is held on the between 3rd Street NW and 14 Street NW (see bluegrassgreen shaded area.)
Between 1st Street SW, 1st Street SE, 1st Street NE, 1st Street NW stands the U.S. Capitol Building, the center point of the District of Columbia.
