Bronze statue of George Washington in the National Masonic Temple, Alexandria, Virginia

The Memorial Hall contains a 17 ft. high bronze statue of Washington wearing his Masonic apron as the Charter Worshipful Master of Alexandria Lodge No. 22 - to which office he had been elected in 1788 and held at the time of his election to the Presidency of the United States in January, 1789.
