Rob Machado received the "One Degree Less Award" at the Green Inaugural Ball for his involvement in a multitude of projects and programs: First, for an Indonesian well digging project with the Sumba Foundation; second, for the Water Innovation Now (WIN) contest, which gave 500,000 kids the opportunity to come up with innovative ways to conserve our water as a result of Southern California’s water crisis; and finally, for the Rob Machado Foundation’s work with the Cardiff Education Foundation to green Machado’s hometown’s elementary school district.
