Lincoln Memorial - The Lincoln Statue

Early morning at the Lincoln Memorial is breathtaking.

The statue of honest Abe is 19.5-feet tall and weighs 175 tons, and is comprised of 28 separate pieces.

Daniel Chester French's sculpture of Lincoln is seated on a throne, and depicted the President as worn and pensive, gazing eastwards down the Reflecting Pool toward the Washington Monument.
