Venerable SungHyo Sunim Remarks - Hello, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to meet all of you here at the Annual Waterlily and Asian Cultural Festival in Washington, DC. I am a buddhist monk in the Hoong Chung District of South Korea. I take strong interest in photography of the waterlilies and study at the temple. The water-lily grows in the water, cleanses everything and blossoms. Its flower appears innocent and beautiful to all.

It is my hope that we all aspire to be like the waterlily and stay pure and beautiful. That is what I believe and present photos of the waterlilies that I have taken.

Everyone, stay pure like the waterlilies and lets make a beautiful and happy world together.
