"[Nancy] starts brainstorming about possibilities for decorations very early. We usually start in March, to first start talking about what we want to do for the next Christmas. And once again she's done a really fabulous job. She's also a delight to work with, and so much fun to get to decorate this beautiful house for the holidays," remarked Mrs. Bush.

Decorating White House

How can one get to help decorate the White House. We are seniors who a few years ago had the pleasure of going to Pasadena and decorating for the Rose Bowl Parade. To help decorate the White House for Christmas is at the top of our "bucket list". Please let us know if this is at all possible and what time of year do you start gathering your volunteers. Penny

Nancy Clarke is the White House chief florist. white house clearance

Dear Ms. Clarke,

Is there such a thing as "Clearance" given to private citizens to view your (or the White House) wbe site to see the decorations you do for the Holidays?

Someone told me you have over 33 trees throughout the White House for the Holidays. I work at a retirement community and we put up over 60. I would love the have a 'peek' at your talent.

Thank you so very much for your consideration,

Is it possible to obtain a copy of the White House holiday booklet? If so, how does one do so?

Just absolutely fabulous. I do wish we had the recipe supplied to make gingerbread and also the special sweet potates he makes which Laura Bush was talking about on Good Morning America this morning
