BECOMING A VOLUNTEER FOR CHRISTMAS DECORATING
Hi Ms. Clarke!
I am inquiring as to how one becomes a volunteer for decorating the Whitehouse? Do we submit an application and where do we do that? I do a lot of volunteer work in decorating around my community and for the less fortunate.
It is my dream to be one of these decorators!

I have been making my own handmade christmas ornaments for years and decorate my own home with 7 christmas trees. Volunteering for Christmas Decoration at the White House
Dear Ms. Clarke,
A friend recently told me that he helped decorate the White House for Christmas this past year. I have always watched programming on the White House's Christmas decor, but I had no idea that citizens were invited to help. I would love the opportunity to offer my assistance in decorating. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to join the White House holiday decorating event!

Volunteering to Decorate the White House
Dear Ms. Clarke,
I am also requesting information on how to volunteer for the White House Christmas Decorating Team. A few years ago I saw a program about the White House at Christmas, hosted by Laura Bush. Ms. Bush commented on the significant volunteer contribution throughout the holiday season. I remember thinking, what an honor it would be to decorate the White House, especially at Christmas. I have years of experience volunteering in my community, and I enjoy all aspects of decorating. Thanks a million for your consideration.

Dear Ms. Clark,
It would be an honor and my wildest dream come true to be a part of decorating the White House. I live in Elizabeth City, North Carolina and teach 5th graders, United States history. What an amazing experience it would be for me to share a real-world, real-life experience with them such as this. We've planned a field trip to Washington this May, however; because of the economy, we haven't been successful with fundraising. Please consider me as one of your volunteers.

I am a florist and interior floral designer for 32 yrs, I specialize deoracting the retail store I work for and over 28 house for christmas each year, my Dream of a lifetime would be to decorate the white for christmas.

Both on Oprah's interview w/ President and Michelle Obama,
as well as on HGTV, I saw the opportunity to decorate the
White House and your need for volunteers to do so. I would
CHERISH the privledge to be part of your team in 2010. I am a Registered Nurse out of college and have spent many years in Medical Sales. Although not professionally trained in Interior or Floral Design, I am extroidinarily creative and have a perfectionist's eye for beauty. I can submit photos of our own home which I decorate for Christmas each year with passion and the true love of the season. I will look forward to your reply. My sister Violet Carroll and I(Susan Palmer) are interested in joining your team of volunteers to decorate the White House for the Christmas 2010 season. We both live in Chesapeake, VA. Violet has 20 years of visual merchandising and display experience(including floral arrangement)and while I have no formal decorating experience I do have informal experience and have also been in volunteer development for 25 years and have have put on international galas, conferences, and symposiums.

Decorating the White House for the 2010 Holidays
Dear Ms. Clarke,
Please consider me as you search for volunteers to help with the White House Holiday decorating for the upcoming year.
I have been a second grade teacher in Washington state for the past 14 years. Having done so I have had many varied opportunities to experience my love for the arts. I hold a Master's degree in Curriculum Development with Integration through the Arts, and I am currently working on the National Boards for Professional Teaching Standards in the area of Art. I have always found a great deal of enjoyment and satisfaction in artfully gardening and decorating my home, especially for the holidays.
It would be a great privelage and long remembered honor for me to participate in preparing the White House for the many beloved holiday traditions.

White House Christmas 2010
Ms. Clarke, I would be honored to be considered for the 2010 White House Decorating Family. I have been a master gardener for twelve years, with a deep love of decorating the yard and the house for Christmas.

White House 2010 Christmas Decorating

white house clearance
Dear Ms. Clarke,
Is there such a thing as "Clearance" given to private citizens to view your (or the White House) wbe site to see the decorations you do for the Holidays?
Someone told me you have over 33 trees throughout the White House for the Holidays. I work at a retirement community and we put up over 60. I would love the have a 'peek' at your talent.
